25 minutos da ManBand ao vivo na televisão alemã lançado pela Voiceprint em 5 faixas 2:30 Definitely, Brother Arnold's Red and White Striped Tent, Daughter of the Fireplace, Will The Christians Wait Five Minutes e Angel Easy entre 69 e 72.
The footage contained on this DVD comes from
German television performances in the seventies. Germany was a fertile
ground for Man and the band regularly made the trip to Germany for both
concerts and television performances. The earliest performance here
features the line up of Mickey Jones, Martin Ace, Clive John, Jeff Jones
and Ray Williams. The opening track 2:30 Definitely was not only a one
off but an impromptu performance by the band featuring Martin Ace on
harmonica. Basically the band had been asked to fill while the opening
credits of the show were shown and the time they had to fill was two
minutes thirty seconds. The second track Brother Arnold's Red and White
Striped Tent originally came from the bands second album 2ozs of Plastic
With A Hole In The Middle and comes from the same session that produced
2:30 Definitely. Both pieces were filmed in November 1969 and probably
represent the earliest film of Man. The next clip moves forward to April
1971 when the line up consisted of Mickey Jones, Martin Ace, Deke
Leonard, Terry Williams and Clive John. This line up saw the return to
the fold of Deke Leonard and the arrival of Terry Williams on drums who
joined in October 1970. This time we are treated to full colour
performances of two tracks, Daughter Of The Fireplace and , which had
originally appeared on the self titled Man album which, was the bands
first album for Liberty/United Artists and had been released just the
month before this performance was filmed. Both tracks ably illustrate
just how tight the band was as a performing unit and how their almost
instinctive jamming style had gelled into something quite special. The
final track featured on this DVD comes from a German television session
filmed in November 1971. By this time Clive John had departed and both
Deke Leonard and Martin Ace were not far behind both leaving in January
1972, Martin of his own choice and Deke? Well let's just say Deke thinks
he was sacked and neither Micky Jones nor Terry Williams tend to
disagree with him. The performance captured here is Angel Easy one of
the shorter tracks Man recorded at the time. The track was the opening
track of the bands most recent studio album, released the week the band
performed here before the cameras. The album was entitled Do You Like It
Here Now, Are You Settling In.
Features rare German TV performances from 1969 to 1972. Includes the one
off improptu performance - 2:30 Definitely.

85 minutos do power trio com Dave Brock, Alan Davey e Richard Chadwick mais o Hawklord Harvey Bainbridge como parte das comemorações de 40 anos da banda.

At first he was called "the greatest unknown
guitarist in the world," but within a few years ROLLING STONE magazine
declared him "one of the three greatest living guitarists." Sadly, the
life and extraordinary talents of Roy Buchanan were cut short at the
all-too-young age of 48, when a career marked by frustration,
disappointment and alcohol abuse ended in tragedy when he apparently
took his own life in 1988.
This performance, captured on the ACL stage in 1976, shows Roy Buchanan
in his prime at the age of 37. Indeed, it may well be the best
high-quality audio/video recording of his complete performance know to
exist.
One of the pioneers of the telecaster sound, he was noted for his use of
note bending, volume swells, staccato runs and "pinch" harmonics. He is
considered by many to be one of America's most soulful guitar masters,
and even 20 years after his death, he maintains an army of devoted fans,
including some of rock guitar's greatest (just ask Jeff Beck, Robbie
Robertson or Billy Gibbons).
He bought his first telecaster at the aged of 13, and through the 1960s
played countless gigs as a sideman for nameless rock bands before being
discovered by the likes of John Lennon, Eric Clapton and even Merle
Haggard. He went on to gold record sales and worldwide tours with Lonnie
Mack, the Allman Brothers and many other blues/rock guitar icons. But he
battled record labels for artistic control and shortly after his ACL
performance actually quit recording altogether out of frustration. A
brief comeback a few years later showed promise, but as so often happens,
he lost the war with his personal demons.
From the award-winning PBS "Austin City Limits" TV series, this
performance, recorded live on November 15, 1976, includes songs that
were never aired on the original TV broadcast. This treasure celebrates
a brilliant guitarist at the peak of his talents, and is a chance for a
new generation to discover what they might've missed. It is the latest
release in the acclaimed "Live From Austin, TX" series

British rockers Jethro Tull are known for their experimental forays into the worlds of folk, jazz, and classical, and also for the inimitable antics of their frontman, Ian Anderson. JACK IN THE GREEN is a compilation of footage shot for German television that begins with a couple of clips that aired in the early 1970s on the Beat Club show. The bulk of the material is taken from various appearances throughout the '80s, specifically from a full-length concert shot for the Rockpop show in '82. The package concludes with clips of "My Sunday Feeling" and "So Much Trouble," which were captured on camera in 1993.

This DVD was filmed and recorded at Club Citta in Osaka, Japan on April 3, 1991 with the Odd Balls. It was one of the last concerts that the legendary Thunders ever performed. Running through a mixture of New York Dolls songs and original solo material, Thunders proves that he still had rock n' roll running through his veins right up until his untimely demise. Tracks include 'Personality Crisis,' 'Born To Lose,' 'Gloria,' and many more.

Formed by John McLaughlin in 1971, the Mahavishnu Orchestra pioneered
the fusion of jazz elements into rock music while still undeniably
retaining the power and muscle of a full on rock band. With McLaughlin
as the ever-present, the line-up went through various phases and these
two concerts from Montreux showcase the band at distinctively different
times of their career, with the seventies show featuring later stars
Jean-Luc Ponty and Michael Walden and the eighties concert featuring
saxophone maestro Bill Evans.
Visual footage only exists of three tracks from the 1974 show (although
this is still over 73 minutes of footage) but the other tracks exist as
audio masters and they have been added as bonus material.

The youngest guitarist to make it onto ROLLING STONE's 100 greatest guitarists of all time list, Derek Trucks has been demonstrating his musical acumen since the age of nine, when he picked up his first instrument. Now one of the best slide guitarists on the scene, he has put together a band characterized by a broad range of talent and a proclivity for improvisation. This release marks the group's first album in four years, and demonstrates the growth they've experienced while incorporating an eclectic mix of sounds, ranging from rock and jazz to Latin and world music.

Space-rock speed-merchants Hawkwind have rarely been captured on such
a good DVD. The five-camera shoot directed by Dave Meehan records a gig
from Newcastle Opera House in December 2002, featuring the line-up of
founder member Dave Brock on guitar, vocals and keyboards, Hugh Lloyd
Langton on guitars and vocals, Alan Davey on bass and vocals, Richard
Chadwick on drums, Tim Blake on vocals and keyboards, and on guest
vocals the legendary Arthur 'God of Hellfire' Brown, who fits in pretty
well though he seesm to be making up the words half the time, but then
that's his style.
All the faves from the Space Ritual era and before are present - Master
of the Universe, Hurry on Sundown, Earth Calling plus of course 'the
hit', Silver Machine - also included are Tim Blake's Lighthouse, and
Aero Space Age Inferno, Time Captives, The Watcher, Sonic Attack, Angels
of Death, The Song of the Gremlins and more. Total is 80 minutes. There
are no strippers, lasers or fire-eaters this time, but some nice
back-projections make this a colourful show.
That the picture is 4:3 is reasonably clean and sharp. The Dolby Digital
5.1 surround sound is fine, with plenty of bass, clarity and separation.
There's an enjoyable hour-long interview with Brock, fans won't need
much encouragement to snap this one up.

Formed in Hamburg in 1968/69 Nektar soon earned a reputation for
outstanding visual and musical performances. Nektar's unique brand of
psychedelic progressive rock and innovative light show combined to make
them an influential band of the genre throughout the seventies and early
eighties. Nektar are very much Nektar, but if pushed, the band can be
said to have similarities with Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, and Yes - great
melodies, crunchy guitar riffs, and raging Hammond organ.
Pure - Live In Germany is a real treat for fans of the seventies legends.

"Live In London" is the documentation of a dream that long-time die-hard Testament fans have been waiting for: the reuniting of the band’s "classic" lineup. Featuring vocalist Chuck Billy, guitar virtuosos Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick, bassist Greg Christian, and original drummer Louie Clemente (along with Testament & White Zombie alumnus John Tempesta as a second drummer), the band rips through classic Testament fan favorites in this show, shot in London earlier in 2005. Among the leaders of heavy metal over the past twenty years, Testament have always provided the rock solid proof that great song writing, regardless of genre, will always transcend time. Their crucial contributions to the early thrash metal surge of the mid to late 1980s helped to develop a sound that forever changed the face of heavy music and resonates just as loudly today. With all of their Bay Area peers either calling it a day or drastically altering their sound, Testament has remained a worldwide metal ambassador throughout the 1990’s and into the new century.

Captured live in front of a sold-out London crowd, Ronnie James Dio delivers a truly memorable performance on this truly memorable night. Dio has been hailed as one of the finest voices in heavy metal for over 30 years now, and for good reason. Due to his stints in Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and as a solo artist, Dio is one of the few people in the history of music that can honestly say they have played on three classic albums, each under a different moniker. HOLY DIVER LIVE features the classic HOLY DIVER album in its entirety, from start to finish, recorded live for the very first time in December of 2005. It also features, among others, "Heaven & Hell" and "Sign of the Southern Cross" from his Black Sabbath days; "Tarot Woman," "Man on the Silver Mountain," and "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll" from the Rainbow days; and "We Rock" from his solo career.
